DIVISION 1
#1 Detroit Catholic Central - The Shamrocks put together one of the most impressive regular season weeks that I have ever seen, starting out with two dominant wins over Rockford and #5 Rochester on Wednesday night.  The Shamrocks beat Rochester by a whopping score of 62-9.  They then scored a big win over #2 ranked Davison on Friday afternoon in the re-scheduled Assembly Dual 44-23 highlighted by an upset pin by Logan Marcicki over Jordan Cooks in a battle of the state's top 2 160lbers.  DCC then bounced right back to competetion on Saturday at the Tim Horn Holland Duals, going 4-0 with wins over D2 #4 Allegan (54-16), D1 #4 Hartland (55-16), and then a huge win over the state's #1 overall team, St Johns, 33-31.  The win over St Johns was the first for CC in a long time and will likely propel them to #1 in the state of Michigan as well as a major bump in the national rankings.

#2 Davison - The Cardinals suffered a tough loss to DCC at the Assembly Dual on Friday night, but bounced back nicely with a dominant win at the Genesee County Championships.

#4 Hartland - The Eagles held up their #4 ranking with a 38-28 win over #5 Rochester to win their pool at the Holland Duals.  They then dropped their semifinal match to #1 DCC 55-16 and routed #10 Clarkston 50-18 to finish 3rd.

#5 Rochester - Rochester returned to near full strength as 2x All-Stater Dean Vettese returned at 171lbs at Holland on Saturday.  They fell to #4 Hartland by 10pts, but bounced back with wins over the #3 and #4 teams in Division 2 - Tecumseh and Allegan.

#6 Bedford - Won their home individual tournament over a pair of top ranked teams - Dundee (D3) and Hudson (D4).  claiming 4 Individual Titles along the way.

#8 Grand Haven - finished runner up at their home dual meet tournament, falling to unranked Battle Creek  Lakeview in the finals 42-17.

#9 Grand Ledge - went 3-1 with a loss to D4 #6 Addison 34-31.

#10 Clarkston - went 2-2 at the Holland Duals.  Clarkston routed Rockford and scored a win over D2 #3 Tecumseh to win their pool.  They then lost big to D2 #1 St Johns and D1 #4 Hartland, but overall it was a solid day for the Wolves.

DIVISION 2
#1 St Johns - The back to back to back State champs experienced something they havent felt in a long, long time on Saturday, they lost to a team within the state of Michigan (with their full lineup).  DCC officially ousted the Red Wings as the top squad in Michigan and St Johns will fall from the #1 overall ranking in the state for the first time in recent years.  St Johns scored sound wins over D2 #8 Greenville and D1 #10 Clarkston and while their position as the team to beat in D2 remains untainted, they did expose some holes in their lighter weights that will need to be addressed.

#2 Lowell - The Red Arrows were in action in Illinois and fell to the #10 team in the country, Monitini Catholic (IL).

#3 Tecumseh - The Indians scored a dominant win over Rockford before falling to D1 #10 Clarkston to lose their pool at the Holland Duals.  Tecumseh rebounded with a 39-29 win over #8 Greenville in a rematch of last year's State Quarterfinals before falling to D1 #5 Rochester in their last dual of the day.

#4 Allegan - finished 2-2 at the Holland Duals with a win over #8 Greenville and losses to D1 #1 DCC and #5 Rochester.

#6 Mason - Finished in a tie for 3rd at the Marquette Challenge in the Upper Penisula.  One Bulldog won an individual title as they tied with Pine River and finished below D4 #2 New Lothrop and Merrill (WI).  Mason finished ahead of D4 #9 St Ignace and #10 Rogers City.

#7 Holly - Finished runner-up at the Croswell Lexington Duals, falling to host Croswell Lexington 42-39 in the finals.

#8 Greenville - finished 1-3 at the Holland Duals with a win over Fremont and losses to D2 #1 St Johns, #3 Tecumseh, and #4 Allegan.

#9 Fowlerville - The Gladiators won the ICL Throwback Tournament in Williamston in dominant fashion over Dewitt, Williamston among others.

DIVISION 3
#1 Dundee - Finished 3rd at the Bedford Invite behind D1 #5 Bedford and D4 #1 Hudson with 4 individual champions crowned on the day.

#3 Whitehall - won the Northview Invite with a 36-28 win over Hamilton in the finals.

#4 Birch Run - Finished 2nd at the Genesee County Champions, way behind Champs Davison.  Birch Run did not crown a champion on the day, but placed nearly every wrestler on their squad in the Top 4.

#6 Allendale - Won their home dual meet tournament with a 44-24 win over Grand Rapids CC in the finals.  Allendale bested Middleville TK (39-26), Buchanan (48-22), and Newaygo (63-16) to go 4-0 on the day.

#7 Swan Valley - won their home dual meet invite, out gunning Madison Hts Lamphere in the finals 58-13.

#10 Caro - Finished Runner-Up at the Rochester Adams Invite with two individual champions on the day.

DIVISION 4
#1 Hudson - The defending champs finished runner-up at the Bedford Invite to host Bedford (#5 D1), but out-gunned the top squad in D3, #1 Dundee.  Four Hudson wrestlers won individual titles on the day.

#2 New Lothrop - Finished Runner-Up at the Marquette Challenge and was the highest placing Michigan squad.  The only team ahead of the Hornets was Merril (Wisconsin).  They finished ahead of D2 #6 Mason and D4 #9 St Ignace and #10 Rogers City.

#3 Hesperia - Went 5-0 at the Fruitport Invite to finish 1st.  Hesperia was untested on the day with 5 lopsided wins.

#4 Constantine - Won their home Individual Tournament.  The Constantine B Team came in runner-up as they nearly doubled the rest of the field.

#5 Bronson - finished 1st at the Coldwater Duals with a 5-0 record.  Bronson downed Hastings in the final dual, 51-28.

#6 Addison - Finished 2nd at the Ypsi Lincoln Duals with a big win over D1 #9 Grand Ledge.  The Panthers fell to unranked Anchor Bay in the final, 43-33.

#7 Decatur - Finished 1st at the Eau Claire Individual tournament with 277pts.

#9 St Ignace - Finished 6th at the Marquette Challenge, with over 30 points more than #10 Rogers City.  St Ignace finished behind, among others, unranked D4 Pine River.

#10 Rogers City - Finished 9th at the Marquette Challenge behind D4 #2 New Lothrop, #9 St Ignace, and unranked Pine River.
