Border Wars Wrestling offering many summer events for the off-season wrestlers.
Since Border Wars Wrestling began their series in the Spring of 2003, wrestling in the off season months
has just exploded in Michigan and across the Midwest states. This has been a blessing to those wrestlers
who seek and love the taste of competition. The wrestlers who have taken advantage of the opportunities
that have been offered have flourished in Michigan.
Michigan Grappler has taken a look down memory lane at some of the wrestlers who competed in the first
ever Border Wars Wrestling tournament which was the Monster Medal Tournament.held at Holt Middle
School in March of 2003. Many of the wrestlers who competed then are now graduating seniors and many
of them have become state champions or state place winners.

The age groups that we looked back at was the 13&14 age group from 2003. It seems as if the opportunity
to constantly improve has paid its dividends for all of our wrestlers here in the state of Michigan.
As summer quickly approaches make your plans Michigan wrestlers to compete in some of the events
offered right here in your own backyard. Michigan Grappler will be covering many of these events over the
next 3 months.
