Lowell's highly accomplished senior class ended every season thus far in their wrestling career the same way - with a loss to State Champs St.Johns.  This year, however, they finally got the monkey off their back and knocked off their old rival St. Johns in the Division 2 Final on tiebreaker criteria after both squads battled to a 34-34 tie.

With Lowell down by 6 going into the final match of the night, senior Garrett Stehley poured on the pressure that led to Nick Sturgis being disqualified for stalling calls and a 6-point win for the Arrows, which tied the meet at 34-34.  Lowell won the state title on criteria, with more wins 6-point victories.
