Central Michigan picked up their third commitment of the week as Dustin Gross verballed to join the Chippewas in the Class of 2018.
Gross has placed at the state tournament all three years for Dearborn Hts. Annapolis. He was 4th as a freshman and was a state runner-up both as a sophomore and as a junior. Gross is currently rated as the #10 prospect in the senior class and projects as a 165/174 pounder.
He joins Chelsea senior Corbyn Munson and Zach Shupp (OH) who committed to Coach Borrelli and the Chips last week.
Around the state two other seniors announced their intentions to wrestle at the next level. Dundee State Champ Tylor Orrison has committed to Lake Erie college, a D-II program in Ohio. He projects as a 157/165.
DCC lightweight all-stater Devon Johnsen also made a commitment to Indiana Tech, one of the top teams at the NAIA level. Johnsen is projected to be a 125 pounder for the Warriors.
