2009-10 Fab 50 Season to kick off with Lowell Fair
7/16 - The 3rd season of the Michigan Grappler Fab 50 Youth Tournament series will get underway next month at the Lowell Fair Championships in Lowell on August 8th.  Check the 09-10 Fab 50 Page over the next couple months for further updates on the 3rd season..  The updated schedule as well as any rule or scoring changes will be released later this summer.

Powell and Arthur double all-americans at Kids Nationals
Shon Powell and Angus Arthur highlighted the Michigan performances at the 2009 Kids Freestyle/Greco Nationals last weekend in Orem, UT.  Arthur and Powell both placed in both styles, earning double all-amercan honors.  Click for full recap and results....More...

Fab 50 season comes to a close
6/8 - The 2009 Michigan Grappler Fab 50 season is officially over and Michigan Grappler is asking all wrestlers who wish to be considered for the Fab 50 to send in any unreported results to fab50@michigangrappler.com.  The deadline to submit results will be Friday, June 19th.  The first week of July Michigan Grappler will release the unofficial final standings and then give a two-week period for any corrections or mistakes to be reported.  Follwing that, the official Fab 50 for 2009 will be released.  Goto the Fab 50 home page to view all the Fab 50 events and rules.

9 youth grapplers win double titles at Central Regionals in Ohio
5/24 - The USAW Kids Regional National Championships wrapped up in Columbus, Ohio yesterday and a large contingency of Michigan youths made the trip to compete.  The Kids divisions of the tournament consisted of Intermediate, Novice, and Schoolboy age divisions, which are the equivalent to 9-10, 11-12, and 13-14 years of age.  8 Michigan youths claimed Double Titles by winning their weight class in both freestyle and greco-roman, the double champs were Stuart Massa, Daniel Guillen, Lucas McFarland, Kody Ebersole, Milik Dawkins, Logan Vish, Logan Massa, Zac Hall and Logan Marcicki.  Click more for full results.

Davison finishes runner-up in Challenge MS Division
5/19 - Many of Michigan's best junior high wrestlers were in action at the Midwest Grand Challenge last weekend in East Lansing, competing in the Middle School Division.  The Davison Wrestling Club (pictured) finished 2nd overall after winning their pool.  Davison fell to The United All-Stars, an all-star team from Missouri and
Illinois, 42-31 in the finals.  Two MYWA East Teams as well as Flat River and Shamrock, were the other high placing Michigan squads.  Click more for full results.

Cooper takes over lead in Michigan Grappler Fab 50

5/7 - Updated standings have been released for the 2008-09 Michigan Grappler Fab 50 and for the first time in over a year, Mark Hall is not in the lead.  Big Rapids 8th grader Zack Cooper of Michigan Xtreme has emerged as the new leader of the Fab 50 with a commanding 50 point lead over the rest of the field.  Cooper, who was a member of the MI Grappler All-Future team last year, has scored big points with MYWAY & MMWA state titles as well as Border Wars Fall and Winter National championships and a tournament win at the Viper Pit tournament in Ohio, among his many accomplishments this year.  The Fab 50 season is near completetion as the only event currently remaining on the schedule is the USAW Central Regionals later this month in Columbus, OH.  It is not too late to enter a wrestler for consideration in the Fab 50, to do so email a wrestler's results from any Fab 50 sponsored events to fab50@michigangrappler.com.  Click more to view the full standings.

MYWAY Finale concludes in East Lansing
4/6 - The 2009 MYWAY Season came to an end yesterday in East Lansing as the state's best youth grapplers battled it out for the illustrius state championship.  It was a great weekend of wrestling action and FloWrestling was in the building all weekend long with video coverage.  Goto Flowrestling to view matches and interviews from the tournament and results are being posted on the MYWAY website.
