Midwest Elite College Combine

Michigan Grappler is excited to partner with Adidas Wrestling to host our first elite wrestling college combine next fall.  The combine will be held on Saturday, September 21st at Detroit Catholic Central High School.  The event is open to 9th-12th graders, based on Fall '19 grade.  Pre-registration will run through September 7th and will be $125.

Why a Combine:  It is a chance to showcase talent to dozens of college coaches through wrestling and physical testing.  Often times wrestlers are overlooked at tournaments or just simply off of a coach's radar.  A combine provides the opportunity to get in front of a coach and prove why you may be an asset to their team.

Athletes:  Each wrestler will receive Adidas performance T-shirts color coded by grade.  Wrestler profiles will be given to each coach in attendance and interviews of each athlete will be conducted and posted on MichiganGrappler.com.  The combine will name a lower-weight and upper-weight MVP, each of whom will win a free pair of Adidas wrestling shoes.   Winners of the physical testing events will receive an Adidas Wrestling gear bag.

Coaches: Will be able to watch and evaluate talent from hundreds of athletes.  Each coach will be sent a digital profile of each of the participating wrestlers consisting of athletic, academic, and personal information prior to attendance.  A hard copy compilation will be given upon arrival.  After the completion of the event, we will send results of the physical testing as well.
