After a busy day 1 at the NCAA Championships in Pittsburgh yesterday, 20 wrestlers with Michigan ties will continue bids for NCAA honors this morning, which picks up at 11am EST.

6 wrestlers will be competing in the Championship Quarterfinals - one match from securing All-American status, led by a trio of Michigan Wolverines.  Stevan Micic (133), Alec Panteleo (157), and Myles Amine (174) will all look to advance to the semifinals tonight for a shot at the NCAA Finals.

Coach Borelli and the Chippewas have one quarterfinalist in heavyweight Matt Stencel and a pair of former MI state champs Max Dean (Cornell, 184) and Trent Hillger (Wisconsin, 285) also advanced to the quarterfinals.

14 others are in action in the wrestle backs this morning.  Wrestle back competitors have to win 3 in a row today to make all-american rounds.  4 Wolverines, 2 Spartans and 2 Chippewas are still alive in the wrestle backs.  Read below for all the remaining wrestlers from Michigan as well as their first match today.
