On Monday, Muskegon Community College announced Travis Piccard will be the next head coach for the Jayhawks.  Piccard takes over for James Tietema, who spent five years at the helm.

A former 3x MHSAA state champion at Allendale High School, Piccard competed collegiately for The Citadel.  There he would amass 118 victories and qualified for the NCAA Championships in 2005, where he was a quarterfinalist and one match from All-American status.

Longtime coach Ron Gaffner will stay on as an assistant coach, as will Jayhawk alums Tyler Stenberg and Thomas Jenkins.  Earlier this winter, MCC unveiled a new top-notch wrestling room inside a brand new health and fitness complex.
