Davison's James Johnston concluded action for the Cadets Thursday by placing 6th at 138 lbs in Greco.  Johnston opened the day with a 12-0 tech to advance in the consolation bracket before dropping the next two bouts.  He leaves Fargo as a two-time Cadet Greco All-American.

On the Junior side, returning champ Chayse LaJoie and Donovan King both advanced to this morning's semifinals.  LaJoie has four techs and an 11-3 win to his credit thus far; King has a pair of techs and a fall over #15 Coleman (OH).  Both will have tough tests in the semis - LaJoie will take on 2018 UWW Cadet Greco champ Jakason Burks (NE), while King squares off with former Cadet Greco champ Spencer Trenary (IA).

Three other Juniors nearly reached the podium as well, all of them coming up just one match shy of a top-eight finish.

Brody Kemper was a quarterfinalist 132 lbs and knocked off #15 Ryan Franco of California, 5-2, during that run.  He would finish the tournament with a 5-2 record.

At 145 lbs Dominick Lomazzo came up on the wrong side of a 21-10 shootout in the bloodround.  He compiled an excellent tournament, going 6-2 on the day.

Sam Freeman was also a bloodrounder - for the second time this week - at 126 lbs.  Between the two styles, Freeman racked up ten total wins.

Other notable performances included Gaylord's John Henry Sosa, who went 4-2 at 126 lbs, and Onaway's Matthew Grant, who was 3-2 at 138 lbs.

Today is the final day of action and will get going at 10:00 am EST.
