Serbenta Commits to Old Dominion

By MI Grappler, 10/09/19, 10:15AM EDT

Another Michigander will be headed to Norfolk, VA to compete at the D1 level.  Cedar Springs senior Sage Serbenta officially announced his commitment to Old Dominion yesterday, and will join DCC's Marc Shaeffer as a future Monarch.

Serbenta had a breakout season in 2019, winning the D2 189-pound state title and then going on to win the Junior Freestyle division at Flonationals.  He was also named a MIG Dream Team First Team member for his efforts during the season.

He'll project as a 184/197 pounder and still has a major upside heading into college.  Serbenta is currently ranked 11th at 182 lbs by Flowrestling, and is the #94 Class of 2020 prospect in the country.
