Top 50 Programs - #50-#49

Same deal as the Top 50 Wrestlers list - we're going to count down two programs a day for the next few weeks, highlighting some of the outstanding teams and traditions of the past half-century.   The criteria includes: state titles, state finals appearances, Team State trips/top-10 individual finish pre-1988, individual state champs, collegiate success, and, most importantly, staying power/consistency.  Check back daily!

50. Bronson

Kicking off the list is Bronson, who has made ten trips to Team State and had a pair of runner-up finishes in back-to-back years (02, 03).  Of their ten trips to the quarterfinals, seven of them resulted in a trip to the semis.

49. Shelby

Shelby comes in at #49 with a title in '72 and a runner-up finish 40 years later in 2012.  Four trips to Team State for the Tigers, but also five top-six finishes in the 70s and 80s when the state tournament used individual scoring.
