Rockford posted 11 all-staters, a then-d1 record, but it was Davison who took them out in the semis before winning a nail biter over Hartland.  The top 4 individual teams were all the semifinal teams, so it played out rather nicely for this year.

Semifinals
Allegan def. Tecumseh, 35-24
Mason def. Middleville, 37-21

Finals
Mason def. Allegan, 34-30

A war at team state would've been a war on the individual side between Mason and Allegan.  Kearsley was 3rd individually with three finalists; Gaylord knocked them off in the regional, 36-35.  Plainwell and BC Lakeview also got into the top six on the strength of a couple champs each.

Semifinals
Roscommon def. Buchanan, 59-15
Richmond def. Corunna, 29-27

Finals
Richmond def. Roscommon, 49-20

Unreal team performance from Richmond, who would've been 7th individually.  They took out Corunna, Dundee, and Roscommon on their way to winning it.  The top two individual scoring teams met in the regional semis, with Corunna topping Montrose 34-33.  Highland Park and South Haven had strong individual performances which propelled them into the top five.

Division 4

Team State Results
Quarterfinals

Addison def. New Lothrop, 54-17
Martin def. Whittemore Prescott, 40-32
Hesperia def. Decatur, 50-19
Rogers City def. Lutheran Westland, 56-12

Semifinals
Addison def. Martin, 37-21
Hesperia def. Rogers City, 45-30

Finals
Addison def. Hesperia, 36-25

Similar to 2005, Addison took out most of the top teams in the division on their path to a championship.  The top four individual scoring teams were also the semifinalists, with 5th-place New Lothrop falling to eventual champ Addison in the quarters.  A lot of parity on the individual scoring side; would've been fun to track in real time.
