Bedford State Champ Pierce Commits to Life U

By MI Grappler, 09/08/20, 8:15AM EDT

Temperance Bedford senior Sylvia Pierce announced that she would be continuing her wrestling career at Life University in Georgia.  She is the first girl in the Class of 2021 to make a commitment to a collegiate program thus far.

Pierce won a state title a season ago, as a junior, running through the state tournament with three falls and a technical fall.  As a sophomore, she placed 5th in the inaugural Girls State tournament.  Most recently, she posted a 4-1 record at the Midwest Ironman Duals in South Dakota.

The future Running Eagle will likely project as a 130/136 pounder at the next level.  Pierce is ranked as the #4 senior prospect in Michigan.
