Cheney and Randolph to Lake Erie

Lake Erie picked up two Michigan preps last week in Clinton's Brayden Randolph and New Lothrop's Bryce Cheney, as the Storm continue to land top seniors from the 2021 class.

Both Cheney and Randolph were state runner-ups in Division 4 last season and both are ranked #1 in the MIG Early Rankings for this year.  Randolph was also a runner-up as a sophomore and placed 3rd as a freshman, as well as adding a Cadet Greco National runner-up in 2018 to his resume.  Cheney was a state qualifier as a sophomore for Hartland in Division 1.

The commitments give Lake Erie five Michigan seniors, having already received commitments from Hudson's Caden Natale and Dundee's Tyler Swiderski and Austin Fietz.  Randolph is ranked as the #12 senior in Michigan and will project at 184 pounds; Cheney is a top-75 senior in the state and will project at 157/165 pounds.

Dean to Harvard

A third Dean brother has chosen Harvard to continue his wrestling career as Lowell's Doak Dean committed to the Crimson over the weekend.  He follows older brothers Zeth, a senior on the team currently, and Kanon, who graduated from the school in 2018.

Dean is tabbed as the #27 senior in Michigan, having placed all three seasons for the Red Arrows with finishes of 8th, 7th, and 5th, respectively.  He begins his season ranked 2nd in D2 in the Early Rankings.  He'll project as a 165/174 pounder collegiately.
