Recap
Michigan won 9 of 10 matches to cruise past Indiana. Suriano and Parris bookended the dual with pins, while Massa and M. Amine added techs at 174 and 184. Ragusin won a top-10 battle against Brock Hudkins. At 157lbs, Will Lewan won a close 3-2 match over DCC grad Derek Gilcher, whose brother Dylan just committed to the Wolverines over the weekend. The lone win for the Hoosiers came at 149lbs, where Graham Rooks upset Kanen Storr. This was Storr’s first dual back since November after an injury suffered at the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invite.

On Sunday, Michigan picked up a 24-13 over their in-state rival Michigan State on Senior Day in Ann Arbor. Nick Suriano started the dual with a major decision over Lujan of MSU. Michigan put the dual away with wins from 141 through 184, including a tech from Logan Massa and two top-20 wins from Will Lewan and Myles Amine. Stevan Micic, Kanen Storr, and Cam Amine also won by decision for the Wolverines. Rayvon Foley had the biggest win for MSU, winning 7-2 over #7 Dylan Ragusin. Cam Caffey and Brad Wilton ended the dual with bonus point wins for the Spartans. Michigan improved to 11-1 overall and 7-1 in the Big Ten.

MSU won 4 of 10 matches against Northwestern as they dropped the dual 24-16. Rayvon Foley had a big win at 133lbs, as he knocked off #8 Chris Cannon 6-2. Caleb Fish won by a first period fall at 165lbs, while Layne Malczewski picked up a major decision, and Cam Caffey knocked off #29 Andrew Davison at 197. Saldate lost the other matchup of ranked wrestlers, as he lost by pin to #2 Ryan Deakin. Michigan State is now 9-4 overall and 4-4 in the Big Ten.

What’s Next
MSU has their last dual of the season and Senior Night on Friday against Central Michigan. Michigan ends the dual season on Sunday in Mt. Pleasant against CMU.

CMU picked up pins from Dresden Simon and Matt Stencel as they cruised to a 28-10 over Buffalo. The win pushed Central Michigan’s win streak to 11, as they improved to 12-2 overall and 7-0 in the MAC. CMU also earned decisions from Bergelin, Lovett, Hubbard, Fedewa, and Bolo. Buffalo featured two former Michigan high school standouts with Ben Freeman (Walled Lake Central) and Jay Nivison (Davison).

What’s Next
CMU travels to East Lansing on Friday and will be home against Michigan on Sunday in a pair of in-state rivalry duals.
