Recap
Michigan State won the two biggest swing matches as the Spartans beat CMU 19-17 on Friday in East Lansing. At 125, Lujan picked up a 3-2 decision over #33 Bergelin. At 157lbs, #17 Saldate beat #16 in a 4-3 match. Foley picked up bonus points with a major decision at 133lbs, and Malczewski overcame an early 6-0 deficit and pinned Ben Cushman at 184lbs. Matt Stencel pinned Brad Wilton at heavyweight, but the dual had already been decided.

Recap
CMU battled at home on Sunday, but Michigan claimed seven of ten matches, including the final 5 matches to win 21-12. Medley kicked off the dual with a 5-2 win over #33 Bergelin before Ragusin teched Perez at 133. 141 was the most exciting match of the night. #15 Micic jumped out to a 6-0 lead in the 1st period with a takedown and turk for nearfall, but a 2nd period takedown and tilt for 4 nearfall for Simon tied the match up at 6-6. Micic gave Simon an escape in the 3rd period and was unable to secure a takedown. CMU won two of the other three ranked matches as #16 Lovett beat #9 Lewan in OT at 157 and #3 Parris beat #8 Stencel 7-4 at 285. Corbyn Munson scored the only bonus points for CMU as he won a scramble and came out on top for a fall against #25 Storr. Massa and Myles Amine added bonus points by major decisions at 174 and 184, respectively, while Brucki pinned Bolo in the 2nd period at 197.

What’s Next
Michigan and Michigan State will take a weekend off before the Big Ten Tournament in Lincoln, NE, on March 5th and 6th. Central Michigan is off until the MAC Championships in Athens, OH, on March 4th and 5th.
