Michigan Blue had an outstanding tournament, running the table all the way to the finals. In the Pool B finals, Michigan’s upperweights carried them to a 35-29 win over Missouri. In the Gold/Silver pool, Michigan Blue had 4 straight close duals. In the semis, Michigan found themselves down 31-12 before closing the dual out on a 23-1 run through the upperweights. In the finals against California, Michigan scored 20 straight points from 164lbs through 225lbs, but it wasn’t quite enough, as California won 37-26.

The upper weights were the standouts here. Manuel, Nauss, and Bommarito all went 7-0, while Green and Garrett each went 6-1. Gigi Bragg also had a great tournament at 106lbs, going 5-2 for the tournament.
