University of Michigan sophomore and Canton HS graduate Alec Pantaleo won the UWW Junior Freestyle World Team Trials last weekend in Texas, earning a spot on Team USA that will travel to France this fall for the UWW Junior World Championships.

Pantaleo, a 2016 All-American for the University of Michigan, received an automatic spot in the Final Best of Three series at 66kg after winning the Junior National Championships earlier this spring.

Michigan native Mark Hall, a senior at Apple Valley HS in Minnesota who will be attending Penn State next year, also earned a spot on the UWW Junior World Team, beating NCAA Runner-Up Jason Nolf of Penn State in two straight matches in the 74kg final series.
