Ben Whitford possibly the best wrestler in the Grappler era

1st Team - Ben Whitford, St. Johns, Sr. (2013)

Not many Michigan preps have been as unbelievably dominant as Ben Whitford.  The summer before his 8th grade year he had one of the most memorable Fargo finals wins of all time, beating Mark Grey of NJ on a last second takedown.  He spent the last two years of his prep career ranked #1 in the country by most polls and in-state competition was his playground as he was far from challenged, crushing everyone with big moves and big points.  His last trip to Fargo he won both styles and the spring after his senior year he won the FILA Junior Freestyle National Title.  It would be hard to argue anyone in Michigan to have been a better prep wrestler in the last ten years than Ben Whitford.

Watch below as Whitford turned the Super 32 finals into his playground:

Kanen Storr, Leslie, Sr. (2016)

Storr went out in style this year with a 58-0 season en route to the state title and a ton of national accolades.  He was 6th at Super 32, won the NHSCA Senior Nationals, took 2nd at FloNationals and 2nd at the Junior Freestyle Nationals.

Foster Karmon, Grand Rapids CC, Jr. (2015)

Karmon won three state titles but his junior year was probably his best total body of work as he won the 145lb state title, going undefeated along the way, and also won the Grappler Fall Classic.
