#1 Lowell v. #8 Tecumseh
Ranked Wrestlers: 15
Lowell is the #2 team in the Power 15 for good reason, they are solid from top to bottom. Tecumseh has some great wrestlers including #1 Drew Marten, they just don't have the depth to mount a challenge for Lowell. Expect Lowell to roll into the semis and by a lot.
Prediction: Lowell 48 Tecumseh 18
#4 Marysville v. #5 Allendale
Ranked Wrestlers: 6
Both of these teams are tough, this dual should be extremely close. This dual should be a dogfight, Allendale is solid from 119 to 140 where each of their wrestlers reached the state meet. At 125 we should see 2 state qualifiers in Austin French and Jared Dankowski wrestle. Marysville has 4 state qualifiers and defeated state ranked Goodrich in the district to advance. Marysville advances by a slim margin
Prediction: Marysville 32 Allendale 28
#3 St. Johns v. #6 Niles
Ranked Wrestlers: 10
Both teams have wrestled a good schedule this season. Niles is 15-1 with their only loss coming to a tough Zionsville, IN team. St. Johns is perennially an extremely tough squad with top notch talent sprinkled throughout their lineup. This one is going to come down to who has the better team from top to bottom. The problem here for Niles is, they are tough down low and through the lower middle weights, that's where St. Johns is a bit tougher.
Prediction: St. Johns 36 Niles 24
#2 Warren Woods Tower v. #7 Dewitt
This is one of those quietly good #7 teams that is matching up with an extremely tough #2. Warren Woods Tower is undefeated this season, they have guys ranked at 7 weight classes, and they qualified 11 wrestlers for the individual state finals. DeWitt is no slouch, they have wrestled a tough dual season all year, they have 7 wrestlers ranked and qualified 7 for the individual finals. DeWitt will come ready to fight, they have to avoid bonus points down low and score them where they can. This will be a good one but it seems that Tower will be wrestling on Saturday morning.
Prediction: Warren Woods Tower 34 DeWitt 26
