Detroit Catholic Central seniors Kevon Davenport and Cameron Amine have been chosen to represent Team USA at the Pittsburgh Wrestling Classic on March 19, 2019.
This will be the 45th edition of the event formerly known as the Dapper Dan and it pits the best prep wrestlers in the country versus the best high schoolers from Pennsylvania.
The Shamrock pair become the 25th and 26th wrestlers to be chosen from Michigan, and the first from Detroit Catholic Central. It also marks the first time that a Michigan school has had two wrestlers picked in the same year.
Team Pennsylvania has not yet been selected, but will be over the next month with the conclusion of their state tournament.
